The biblical evaluation is amulets are idols and paganism. It is trusting in something instead of the creator of the universe, The Lord God.
Many amulets have been dedicated to false gods. If you buy one and have it in your house, you are bringing demons into your house.
The third 10 commandment says “No graven images or likenesses”
“I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust.’ Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence.
