What is a Mentor's Role

Gospel-centered mentoring aims to develop wholehearted Christians who rest fully in Christ with wholehearted character (Col. 1:19, 20, 27, 28) and reflect Him faithfully (Ephesians 4:11-13) in all areas of life. Be mentored uniquely.

Spiritual Guidance

Teach and model biblical principles: Show how to apply Scripture in daily life, prayer, and spiritual warfare.
Help discern God’s will: Assist mentees in understanding God’s direction for their lives and decisions.
Provide tools for spiritual growth: introduce methods such as prayer strategies, deliverance exercises, and spiritual disciplines.
Learn spiritual warfare and win against the enemy.

Emotional and Personal Support

Encourage and uplift: Offer reassurance and hope when mentees face spiritual oppression, trauma, or emotional struggles.
Listen and counsel: Provide a safe space to express fears, doubts, and pain without judgment.
Model healthy boundaries: Demonstrate Christ-centered emotional intelligence and integrity.

Wisdom and Experience

Share life lessons: Mentor draws on personal experience in ministry, spiritual warfare, or healing.
