Happy 4th of July Celebration in America

happy 4th of july

Today, we celebrate the freedom, courage, and sacrifice that helped shape the United States of America.

On July 4, 1776, our forefathers declared independence and took a courageous stand for liberty. In the years that followed, the Constitution was established to protect the rights and freedoms of the American people. Its principles of limited government, justice, religious liberty, and individual responsibility have made it one of the most influential governing documents in the world.

We are blessed to live in a nation where we have the freedom to worship God, speak openly about our faith, gather together, and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. These freedoms should never be taken for granted.

Many of America’s early leaders recognized the importance of faith, prayer, morality, and dependence upon God. Throughout our nation’s history, Americans have turned to God during times of war, hardship, uncertainty, and national celebration.

The Bible reminds us:

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” — Psalm 33:12

“Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” — 2 Corinthians 3:17

“Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.” — Proverbs 14:34

As we celebrate this Fourth of July, let us remember that freedom is not free. Men and women have sacrificed greatly to protect this nation and preserve the liberties we enjoy today.

Let us also pray for America—our leaders, military members, first responders, families, churches, communities, and future generations.

“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; for kings, and for all that are in authority.” — 1 Timothy 2:1–2

May we never forget the godly principles that helped guide our nation. May we stand for truth, protect our freedoms, honor those who sacrificed before us, and continue praying for America to turn its heart toward God.

A Prayer for America

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for the freedoms we enjoy in the United States of America. Thank you to those who courageously fought, served, and sacrificed to protect our nation.

We ask You to forgive our sins and heal our land. Give our leaders wisdom, integrity, courage, and a reverence for You. Protect our military, first responders, families, churches, and communities.

Help us preserve the freedom to worship, pray, speak truth, and share the Gospel. Let righteousness, justice, mercy, and truth prevail throughout our nation.

May America humble itself before You and remain one nation under God.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

From all of us at Touch of God International Ministries of Healing and Deliverance, we wish you and your family a safe, blessed, and joyful Fourth of July!

Happy Independence Day, America!

These are complex, confusing times, and though we know that our God is in control and will take care of us, we sometimes feel anxious and worried. We know that, as written in Philippians 4:6, prayer is the answer, but sometimes praying is complex, and you need someone to pray with you. If you need prayer, fill out the form, we pray weekly on Tuesday nights over your prayer request.
