Understanding Soul Ties
What Is a Soul Tie?
Soul ties form through sexual relationships, emotional dependence, manipulation, or even vows. They connect your mind, emotions, and spirit to another person in unhealthy ways. The effects can be profound and harmful, leading to:
Constant thoughts about an ex-partner.
Feelings of guilt, shame, or confusion.
Experiences of depression or physical illness.
A sense of spiritual heaviness and warfare.
⚔️ Ungodly Soul Ties: Demonic Access Points
Sexual Soul Ties (Fornication or Adultery):
Created through sex outside of marriage.
Result in emotional fragmentation, spiritual oppression, and demonic bondage.

Emotional Soul Ties (Inordinate Affection or Obsession):
Rooted in excessive attachment or fixation.
Often driven by feelings of loneliness, rejection, or idolization of a person.
Co-Dependent Soul Ties:
Formed when one person relies excessively on another for emotional security.
This can replace trust in God with unhealthy reliance on humans.
Manipulative or Controlling Relationships:
Ties created through emotional abuse, guilt-tripping, or fear.
Common in relationships with narcissists or individuals influenced by Jezebel spirits.
Trauma-Bond Soul Ties:
Developed through shared traumatic events such as abuse or crises.
These ties emerge not from love, but from pain and survival instincts.
Covenantal or Spoken Soul Ties:
Formed through vows or promises like “I’ll never leave you” or “You’re mine forever.”
This also includes inner vows related to groups such as gangs or secret societies.
Spiritual or Religious Soul Ties:
Result from involvement in cults, New Age groups, or false churches.
Such ties bind individuals to spiritual deception and false teachings.
Parental or Generational Soul Ties:
These ties exist when adult children remain bound by fear or guilt from their parents.
They include inherited dysfunction and trauma that get passed down through generations.
Real-Life Example: Breaking the Chains
Consider the case of a married woman who reached out to our ministry. Years after breaking up with her first love, she couldn't stop thinking about him. Despite having a solid marriage, she often found herself dreaming about her ex and comparing her emotions towards both men.
Through deliverance ministry, she discovered that an ungodly soul tie—a result of premarital sex and emotional dependence—was still affecting her. Once this tie was broken in Jesus’ name, clarity returned, peace was restored, and her marriage grew stronger.
The Jezebel Spirit's Role
Jezebel capitalizes on ungodly soul ties. This controlling spirit often targets those who experience rejection or emotional vulnerability. It employs manipulation and co-dependence, creating cycles of guilt and fear that keep individuals feeling broken and trapped.
✨ Godly Soul Ties: Holy and Ordained by God
Marriage Soul Tie:
Formed through covenant and consummation between husband and wife.
Intended to unite the couple as “one flesh” in every aspect—emotionally, spiritually, and physically.

Parent-Child Bond:
Stems from God’s design for protection and nurturing.
Healthy dynamics exist when boundaries and respect are maintained.

Godly Friendships and Mentorships:
Developed through mutual encouragement and accountability.
Example: The strong friendship between David and Jonathan (1 Samuel 18:1).
