Breaking Self-Imposed Curses
Our Words, Self-Imposed Curses that come out of our mouths, can bring life or death to others and to ourselves in how we use our words. For example, shaming a person feels like death to them. Today, I want to look more at self-imposed word curses. How about saying, "I am stupid and cannot do this, when the Lord says you can do all things through Him who strengthens you." The Importance of Breaking Self-Imposed Curses.
You can read the article below to overcome self-cursing words.
In a scripture, Proverbs 18:21, he wrote: "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit."
There is Power in the Tongue that brings life or death to a person's identity and worth.
Self-imposed word curses are those we bring upon ourselves by speaking words we are actually cursing ourselves. When we say, “I am no good,” I am useless,” I will never be able to overcome this sin or problem,” or” Let this misfortune happen to me,” we are pronouncing a curse on ourselves.
Let us be sensitive to the Holy Spirit so that he may convict us of the negative things we say and lead us to repentance and receive healing. How do we do this? Stop self-cursing and start speaking God's Word, which is positive and truly defines who you are.
What do you do to Break Self-Imposed Word Curses?
Repent to God for saying negative words.
Renounce those words, withdraw them from yourself, and make those statements null and void.
Replace by confessing the right statement.
This will break the power of the kingdom of darkness, not to carry out the assignment of the curse over your life.
In Matthew 12: 36-37, Jesus says, “But I say to that for every idle word that men may speak they will have to give an account of it, on the day of judgment."
Every word we have ever said will be judged unless you put it under the blood of Christ.
There is Power in the Tongue:
God has given us each the power to use words to bring life or destruction to others (accusations against others) and ourselves (self-accusations). You can release blessings or curses in what we speak over ourselves.
Psalms 64:3 - "They sharpen their tongues like swords and aim their words like deadly arrows.
Positive Scriptures to Speak Over Yourself that Brings Life and Renews the Mind with Truth: See bible verses on curses and blessing - word curses scriptures When you look at the beginning of time, the Lord’s word brought life: 1.Gen 1:3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. 2.Gen 1:6 Then God said, “Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.”
3.Gen 1:9 Then God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear”; and it was so.
4.Gen 1:11 Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”; and it was so.
5.Gen 1:14 Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years; 6.Gen 1:20 Then God said, “Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens.”
7.Gen 1:24 Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind”; and it was so.
8.Gen 1:26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
8 times God spoke and things were created that were not existent before. Ask yourself, have you seen anyone who claims to have this same ability do any of these things today?
See examples of how positive words bring health:
Prov. 16:24: “Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the bones.”
Prov 13:17-18: “A wicked messenger falls into trouble, but a faithful ambassador brings health.
“In the morning, as Jesus was returning to Jerusalem, he was hungry and noticed a fig tree beside the road. He went over to see if there were any figs on it, but there were only leaves. Then he said to it, ‘May you never bear fruit again!’ And immediately, the fig tree withered up. Matthew 21:18-22
God has much to say about our speech and our tongue. Prov. 13:3: “He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.” Prov. 21:23: “Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.”
Now let's look at negative words in how they bring Death to our emotions:
